Headlines: Investor Education Webinar
As if
the financial crisis wasn't enough, reports of investment fraud
and scams have added to the uncertainty that consumers face.
This 30-minute webinar provides background and explanation of
some of the high profile fraud cases that have come to light
both nationally and in the state. Viewers also receive tips
about how to avoid falling victim to scams.

In a continued effort to support financial
literacy, Secretary of State Todd Rokita filmed a PSA for the
National Endowment for Financial Education. This PSA stresses
the importance of educating today’s youth on concepts like
saving, investing and insurance, and directs teachers to the
award-winning High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP)
that is already used in several Indiana schools.
The HSFPP consists of a seven-unit student manual,
instructor’s guide, and a dynamic suite of Web pages that offer
a large, continually growing collection of resources, articles,
and financial tools for teachers, students, and parents. To
