Smoking Cessation Programs available to State Employees through selected health plans

Anthem High Deductible Health Plan I and II and Anthem Traditional II

  • Educational Programs / Classes: The "Butt Out! - Smoking Cessation Program" - A motivational and educational program available at a 10% Anthem discount. Includes phone-based education, coping skills modules, guidebooks, etc.
  • Prescription Medications: Brand name medication Zyban (and generic equivalents), and Chantix available to covered members after applicable co-pays.
  • Over the Counter Medications / Products: Nicotine patches and gum are available through the Anthem discount program.

Welborn

  • Educational Programs / Classes:"Finally BEAT Smoking Program" - includes an introductory class for smoking cessation which provides information about the program. Welborn specialist will call you or mail you monthly to provide support and to answer questions.
  • Prescription Medications: Nicotine Inhaler , Nicotrol Nasal Spray, Nicotine Patches, Nicotine Gum, brand name medication Zyban (and generic equivalents), and Chantix available to covered member after applicable co-pays. Acupuncture and hypnosis also covered after applicable co-pays.
  • Over the Counter Medications / Products: None.
