Online Orientation

The State Personnel Department has designed online orientation to facilitate your transition into state government on your first day of employment. The online orientation modules have replaced the Central Office Orientation classes previously held on the Indianapolis Government Center Campus.

Your agency has enrolled you into our online orientation training module.  Below you can find E-Orientation Course Guides to help you throughout the orientation module. Please pick the guide that best fits your position. Download the agenda. If you are a Manager and have an employee completing one of the modules, please download the E-Orientation Guide for Managers.

As a new employee you will also want to review our online new hire packet which includes a list of resources from which you can draw assistance, as you become part of our high-performance work team.

Online Training

New or returning employees are required to take the following courses: Cybersecurity Onboarding, Information Technology Resources User Agreement (ITR), Ethics, and Preventing Workplace & Sexual Harassment. These are web-based training courses that need to be completed within the first two weeks of employment. All of the courses are located in the state’s new learning portal, SuccessFactors Learning, and can be accessed on your first day of hire. The quick step guide below can assist you with logging into and navigating the Portal.

Also, a detailed listing of the state’s workplace and sexual harassment prevention policy is provided in conjunction with the Sexual Harassment Prevention training.

Contact your agency supervisor or agency human resource department for any further questions concerning online orientation or the Onboarding experience.
