The Notice of Assessment of Land and Improvements (Form 11) is an assessment notice that is sent to taxpayers by the county or township assessor. The assessed value on the Form 11 is the starting point for calculating annual property tax payments. Assessed values may change when there is new construction, additions, remodeling or changes in land use. A taxpayer has the right to file an appeal with the county assessor, should they disagree with the assessment. Information on the appeals process may be found at: http://www.in.gov/dlgf/2508.htm.
A county has the option to use the tax bill as the Notice of Assessment.
