Electronic filing is now available in more than 40 civil and criminal case types in the Jackson Circuit & Superior Courts. On Friday, October 14, e-filing will be mandatory in these courts for all subsequent filings by attorneys. Jackson is the 15th county to join the e-filing project, which is expected to be statewide by the end of 2018.
The Coalition for Court Access (CCA) will have its inaugural meeting on August 17. It is open to the press and public. The CCA was created by the Supreme Court in May 2016 to coordinate all Supreme Court related programs designed to provide civil legal aid to those with limited financial resources.
