Indiana Commercial Court Rule 5 allows the Court to appoint a neutral who has special skills or training appropriate to perform the tasks that are ordered by the Court. The parties can consent to the appointment or, after a hearing has been held, the Court can appoint a neutral if appointment will materially assist the Court in resolving the case in a just and timely manner, and the anticipated costs associated are proportionate to the value of the case and will not be unduly burdensome to any party.
