Purpose
The Juvenile Advisory Committee is composed of members of the judiciary with juvenile jurisdiction over child welfare and/or juvenile delinquency cases. The Committee acts as a liaison to state and local agencies working with juveniles and to other judicial officers, offering guidance and recommendations on proposed policies, initiatives, and procedures that impact children within Indiana's child welfare and delinquency court systems. Additionally, the Committee reviews and advises on legislative matters impacting juvenile law and juvenile courts. This committee meets approximately 6 times per year.
This Committee was formerly known as the Juvenile Justice Improvement Committee.
