MARK SEAN ORR
These groundhogs were at the old Henry County Poor Home in Memorial Park, which was torn down a few days later. Orr saw them near the Henry County Saddle Club. He saw one at first, then two and then three. He shot for about an hour. Orr is a retired mail carrier who is now a full-time historian and genealogist for Henry County.
This Northern water snake was at Terre Haute’s Deming Park. Although the species is not venomous, large specimens like this one can inflict a painful bite to humans if cornered. During the day, they hunt for small fish and other aquatic creatures. Grimes shoots studio photography as a job and outdoor photography as a hobby.
