INDIANAPOLIS (July 19, 2005)
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and Lt. Governor Becky Skillman launched
new Web sites today to enable Hoosiers to have better access to information.
I hope Hoosiers find
the new Web sites informative, educational, and easy to navigate, said
Governor Daniels. These sites
will be a great way for Hoosiers to connect with the governor's
office.
The governor's site - www.in.gov/gov - contains official information
about the office, legislative priorities, contact information, and a media
center as well as new features such as a kids page, photo gallery, information
about RV 1, and a history of the state's previous governors.
Additional features will be
added in the weeks and months to come including a video tour inside RV 1 and audio
of the governor's speeches and news conferences.
The lieutenant
governor's site www.in.gov/lgov
- contains many of the same features as well as policy information on Indiana's efforts
to reinvigorate the state's agriculture and tourism sectors.
"The governor and I, through extensive travel to
all parts of the state, have pledged to be accessible to Hoosiers,"
remarked Lt. Governor Skillman. "By creating informative and user-friendly
Web sites we are able to help keep this commitment.
The Web sites were designed by the staff at Access Indiana.
