Legacy Projects > Decatur County Barn Quilt Trail Project Decatur County Barn Quilt Trail Project

The project will identify twenty people who would be interested in making a barn quilt to display at various locations in the county.  Doing barn quilts as a community project is a way to involve local artists, to work with expert quilters in helping to develop designs and to encourage youth involvement in joining the fun of painting a barn quilt.

Barn quilts can be displayed on any type of building from houses, garages, sheds, barns or business. We are lucky to have the Michigan Road and hope to entice landowners to the placement of Barn quilts on their properties.
