Legacy Projects > Lawrence County Quilt Trail Project Lawrence County Quilt Trail Project

We are developing packets of information to distribute to people along selected routes in Lawrence County. US 50, a national scenic byway, bisects the county, SR 37 also crosses the county and is heavily traveled so both will be priorities to enlist prominent barns for the quilt trail. There are several unique Indiana quilt patterns, and popular Lawrence County design which we can use, but each barn owner will be allowed to select the pattern of their choice for their barn. The trail will promote rural heritage and driving tours in Lawrence County and create pride with local farmers.
