We propose to dedicate the 2016 Parade to the Indiana Bicentennial. Our theme for 2016 will be “Celebrating Indiana’s 200th Birthday”. It is our intention to encourage floats honoring the bicentennial by giving monetary prize money. The Lanesville Heritage Weekend Festival was started in 1976 to celebrate our country’s bicentennial. We think it is only fitting that we participate in Indiana’s bicentennial in a meaningful way. Our festival has grown to one of the largest 3 day festivals in the State of Indiana.
