The Indiana Historical Society Press has over the next few months a number of publications to be published geared toward the bicentennial. The books include Mapping Indiana: Five Centuries of Treasures from the Indiana Historical Society; a revised version of The House of the Singing Winds: The Life and Work of T. C. Steele; and Road Trip: A Pocket History of Indiana. The people, sites and material included in each of these books all improved the lives of citizens of Indiana in areas such as health, education, economics, culture, governance, entertainment and transportation.
