“Celebrating Indiana’s Innovative Spirit” is the theme of this year’s Rube Goldberg Machine Contest scheduled for March 5, 2016 at Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School in Osgood, Indiana. The Ripley County Tourism Bureau will award a special trophy to the team that best integrates a part of Indiana history in its machine. This popular event for middle and high school students features wacky, overly complex contraptions designed to accomplish a simple task. This year’s task is to open and umbrella.
