The Hancock County Community Foundation’s youth board is comprised of sixteen high school students from the county’s four high schools. In 2016, the youth board will host a t-shirt design contest, distribute coloring sheets to elementary schools, provide lunch room assemblies, and distribute educator packets. All of which incorporate Hancock County and Indiana facts celebrating the 188th birthday of Hancock County and 200th birthday of Indiana. New to 2016 is Operation Y-Giving, Investing, Volunteering, and Engaging for the betterment of Hancock County. The youth board will grant up to $1,000 for a project within their school corporation.
