The Town of Dillsboro is proposing the Dillsboro Sanitarium Well No. 2 as a historical point of interest. St. Elizabeth Medical Center has been generous enough to gift the citizens of Dillsboro the parcel where the Well No. 2 is located. The site will be restored and dedicated at the Dillsboro Heritage Festival and Bicentennial Torch Relay, September 17, 2016.
