The 2016 Bicentennial Project will be ongoing during the summer and conclude on September 19 with the Henry County Day of Caring, when volunteers will work to restore and preserve our legacy in one or more Pioneer Cemeteries in Henry County. Our goal is to preserve these final resting places for future generations. There are approximately 160 Pioneer Cemeteries in Henry County, of which the Commission has worked in about 30 to restore with volunteer efforts.
