Legacy Projects > Take the River Take the River

“Take the River” is an hour-long historical documentary about southeastern Indiana and its connection to the Ohio River. The film explores an ancient citadel 3,000 years old in southeastern Indiana, early pioneers and Native Americans, a Revolutionary battle in Indiana, the Underground Railroad in Indiana, Morgan’s Civil War Raid, the steamboat era, the 1937 Flood, and much more Indiana history. After broadcast on PBS stations in the tri-state region, it will be used in southeastern Indiana area schools as an educational aid.
