This digital exhibit celebrates the stories of individuals with ties to Butler University who have made lasting contributions to Indiana. Through brief biographical essays and digitized photographs and manuscripts, visitors to the website can learn about such diverse people as Eliza Blaker, a leader in the development of kindergartens, Ovid Butler, abolitionist and founder of Butler University; Emma Lou Thornbrough, a pioneer in African-American studies; and Tony Hinkle, a legendary coach, among others.
