Basketball is a big part of Indiana’s history. Indiana Free Throw Championship gives student-athletes grades 3-12 an opportunity to compete with other students across Indiana. It also provides an opportunity for them to reach out and gain support for their school’s athletic program and secure sponsorship from friends and family. A video celebrating basketball in Indiana and the Bicentennial will be played at the Championship finals. After being named a Legacy project, we will include the Bicentennial logo in all of the binders that go to student-athletes. We are working on getting interviews on several news stations throughout the state to show our part in Indiana’s Bicentennial and will incorporate basketball historians.
