Documenting life as it was in all small cities in the early 1900’s through the 1970’s, this commemorative painting by railroad artist, Jim Rhodes, depicts a moment in time that young people in this 21st century may not realize was a vital part of our state’s great history. This is a snapshot of time just before WWII when life was a different world than now and before America’s love affair with the automobile.
