John L. Adams lived near Broken Arrow, Oklahoma while his father was in the US Army. He is an enrolled member of The Shawnee Tribe. He is a self-employed as a professional pilot, flight and ground instructor and airframe/power plant mechanic. He owns his own business, Soaring Eagle Aviation, LLC. He is also an ordained elder in the United Methodist church. He has an Associate Degree of Psychology from Tulsa Junior College, Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Oklahoma City University. He earned his Master of Divinity Degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. In his spare time, he loves to scuba diving, snow and water skiing. He also loves to sing, play the guitar, banjo, bass guitar and piano. He is married to the Rev. Bessie Adams. John was appointed to the INAIAC in the Spiritual position of the commission by Governor Eric L. Holcomb on April 13, 2019. He will serve a four year term ending in December 31, 2022.
