New Employee Orientation – Indianapolis, Ind.
Welcome and congratulations on being selected as one of the newest team members of the Indiana Department of Transportation! On your first day, you’ll be met by a member of our Talent Management team at 8:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Executive Offices located at 100 N. Senate Ave., Room N758, Indianapolis, IN 46204. The Executive Office is located on the 7th floor and is accessible using the west elevators.
Once here, you’ll have a chance to meet others who will be going through orientation and we will have some reminders for your second day, such as when and where to meet. Following introductions we will escort you to State Employee Orientation hosted by the State Personnel Department. The remainder of your day (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) will be spent with the State Personnel team learning about state policies, procedures and benefits available to you while working for the state.
Generally State Personnel Orientation takes place in the Indiana Government Center (IGC) South Auditorium. If another location is used, you will be notified in your offer letter or by a member of our team. State Personnel Orientation begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. EST. Please note: If a state government holiday falls on Monday, orientation is held on Tuesday.
On your second day, we will introduce you to all things INDOT in our own orientation session called Mile Marker 1. Beginning with an overview of INDOT history and continuing with our current mission and values, Mile Marker 1 is a great way for you to get up to speed on your new role and how you will contribute to our overall success.
