Sept. 2024 Benefits Update

INPRS continues to successfully deliver on its commitment to ensuring timely first-benefit payments to retiring members. Here’s an update on the Benefits team’s performance shared at the Sept. 6, 2024 meeting of the INPRS Board of Trustees.

  • Member 13th Checks were successfully disbursed on time for PERF and TRF retirees in Sept. 2024. The Benefits department exceeded the Benefits Paid On-time benchmark for Fiscal Year 2024 by achieving 99.18% payments on time with the agency goal being 98.5% payments on time.
  • INPRS continues to add self-service functionality to ERM by including entry of first-class officer salary along with auto-notifications of Millie Morgan retirements. Enhancement and automation of these processes will help improve the reporting of important information between INPRS and employers for the overall benefit of members.
  • INPRS expanded its employer engagement experience by launching our first large-scale Employer Seminar on Oct. 10, 2024. The purpose is to better equip employers with the resources and tools and identify opportunities for improvement of INPRS communication and support to assist members during their journey to retirement. INPRS will plan to continue and significantly expand on-site and in-person sessions for employer education and information.
