Today
the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission approved a request by Lincoln
Utilities to increase its rates and charges for water service, but at a rate
less than the 3.93% the company originally sought.
In cause 41710-U the Commissioners approved a 1.53% across the board
increase for water service to its customers.
A customer of Lincoln who uses 5,000 gallons of water presently pays
$14.89. After the increase he or she
will pay $15.12.
Lincoln
Utilities provides water service to customers within incorporated communities
and unincorporated rural areas in Lake County, Indiana. It provides service to approximately 1,969
customers.
