Today, in Cause No.
41821, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission set a procedural schedule to
review the proposed sale of the Indianapolis Water Company to the City of
Indianapolis.
Below is a list of
key dates:
December 21,
2001: The City, IWC and IWC Intervenors prefile
their prepared testimony and exhibits constituting their cases-in-chief.
February 1,
2002: All other Intervenors and the Public prefile
prepared testimony and exhibits.
February 11, 2002: The
City, IWC and the IWC Intervenors file rebuttal testimony
February 18, 2002: Evidentiary hearing on the settlement. Hearing will convene at 9:30 a.m., EST in
room TC10 of the Indiana Government Center South.
On September 12, 2000,
the City of Indianapolis filed a petition with the Indiana Utility Regulatory
Commission asking the Commission to establish the value that the City must pay
to purchase the property of the Indianapolis Water Company and to establish the
terms and conditions of the sale.
Intervenors in the
case include: the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, Indianapolis Water
Company Industrial Group and the City of Carmel, Indiana, Harbour Water,
Darlington Water Works, Irishman's Run Acquisition, Liberty Water and IWC
Morgan Water and the Town of Pittsboro.
