Today the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission approved a rate increase
to pay for improvements by the North Lawrence Water Company.
In Cause No. 41933, the Commissioners agree that the planned
improvements to the water supply system, the treatment system and the company’s
distribution system are in the best interest of its customers, and granted a
40.87% rate increase. The increase
means that a customer who uses 5,000 gallons of water a month will see their
bill increase from $29.05 a month to $40.92.
North Lawrence Water Company provides water service to approximately
4,618 members in rural areas and townships of North Lawrence County,
Indiana. The company’s existing rates
and charges were approved December 28, 1989.
