The Indiana Civil Rights Commission in conjunction and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission have invited schools grades 6-8 to attend the 26th Annual Statewide Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational Youth Summit and Statehouse Program. The program will take place Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 9:30 am-1:30 pm.
Students will begin their journey at the Indiana State Museum located at 650 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
Following the Indiana State Museum program, students will travel one block east to the Indiana Statehouse for the Statehouse program. This program will be highlighted by a keynote performace. Following the program, students will have the opportunity to explore the historic Indiana Statehouse prior to leaving.
Schools will attend the 26th Annual Statewide Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational Youth Summit and Statehouse Program free of charge and lunch will be provided as well.
