Personal Visits
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has a video visitation platform in the jail. This will require all persons wanting to visit an inmate at the DeKalb County Jail to go to the following website for scheduling instructions and visiting times, www.icsolutions.com. MAX Security inmates are only permitted visitation between 8am-12pm daily. (Privileged visits are an exception) Inmates who are on disciplinary status are not permitted visitation. (Privileged visits are an exception)
Visitors will be able to set up an on-site visit (2 per week) or a remote off-site visit (unlimited). The on-site visits will be conducted in the lobby of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office where the video terminals are provided. Remote visits can be conducted off-site by using an Android device or a laptop computer for a flat fee of $7.50 for a 30 minute visit.
Visitation Rules
Please read all of the rules completely prior to scheduling. Not knowing the rules will not be accepted as an excuse for not following them. Violation of any rule may result in you being banned from visiting inmates or criminal charges being pursued when applicable.
- Anyone on active felony Probation or Parole will not be allowed to visit.
- All visits are subject to monitoring and recording.
All visitors 18 years of age and older must present a valid picture I.D. (e.g., driver’s license, State I.D., or Military I.D. upon arrival for onsite visit.
- All children (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by an adult.
- PROPER ATTIRE: clothing must cover all private/sensitive body areas.
- You will not be allowed to visit under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
- Any inmate or visitor whose behavior is disruptive during a visit may have his/her visiting privileges suspended/terminated.
- If a person is incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail, that person will have to wait sixty (60) days from their release date before visiting an inmate at the jail.
- All persons entering this building are subject to search and to video/audio surveillance.
Scheduling
All visits must be scheduled at least 12 hours prior to the appointment and up to 2 weeks in advance.
- CHECK-IN: 10 minutes prior to scheduled visit.
- Visitors 18 years of age and older must present a valid picture I.D.
- Additional visitors must be listed and accompanied by the primary visitor
- All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- Video Visits can consist of a total of 3 people. This includes the primary visitor and any combination of Adults and children, but no more than 3 total. * All Visitors that will visit must be listed on the scheduled visit however children under 2 years old are not required to be added and do not count toward the allowed total.
- Please be advised if an inmate is in ANY program (at court, on trustee assignments. Attorney visits, church, G.E.D, parenting, or MRT class, they are NOT eligible to receive the visit at that time. Please schedule your visits around the inmate’s program schedule.
- PROPER ATTIRE REQUIRED: Clothing cannot be see through, no skin tight clothes or tank tops allowed. All visitors must wear undergarments at all times. No gang-related symbols, themes or colors. Skirts or dresses must be below the knee. Shorts at mid-thigh or below.
- Staff can deny, change, or cancel a visit at any time.
- The cost to visit from home is $7.50 for 30 minutes
- If a visitor does not show up for a scheduled video visitation session, no refund will be issued.
- If a visitor loses internet connection during an offsite video visitation session, the visitor will not be allowed to reconnect and no refund will be issued. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has no control over the visitor’s internet connection.
- Visitors who arrive after the schedule start time may not be allowed to visit.
- Visitors must remain seated at all times during the visitation session. Visitors involved in the following will be placed on permanent visiting restrictions:
- Creating a disturbance or disruption of the visiting process
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol o Refuse to show sufficient identification
- Destroying County property
- Attempt to smuggle contraband. (Drugs, cigarettes. Etc.)
- Any inmate or visitor whose behavior is disruptive during a visit may have his/her visiting privileges suspended/terminated.
- Staff can disconnect a visit at any time at their discretion.
- After your visit has ended your connection will be terminated.

Tablets:
Inmates are privileged with tablets. All tablets are provided law library and free items on the free size of the tablet.
Friends/Family who upload money to inmate tablet accounts and are seeking refunds need to contact 866-516-0115 / www.GettingOut.com/Help
Bonds:
The DeKalb County Jail is a cashless facility. All bonds are to be paid through the lobby kiosk. Payments can be made at any of the 800+ kiosk locations. Payments can be made with cash or credit.
For cash and credit bail transactions there is a $5 sheriff fee and an additional 7% transaction fee/ For cash transactions the fee will be calculated as funds are deposited. Amount paid needs to bond amount plus service fee charge. If you are paying cash and cannot pay in full, you cannot request a refund from the jail. You will need to return to the kiosk to pay in full.
