Ben Markley, Robey Principal
July 2024

I hope this message finds you all well. I am writing to you today on behalf of Robey Elementary School to share some important updates and announcements.

First and foremost, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning students and families. We are thrilled to have you as part of our MSD Wayne Township and Robey Elementary communities, and look forward to a wonderful school year ahead.  Our district and school websites are great sources of information to help answer questions about new enrollments, bus stop information, and important dates. Just google “MSD Wayne Township” or “Robey Elementary.” Our school office is open 7:30-4 and can be reached by phone at 317-988-6000.

As we kick off the new academic year, I want to highlight a few key events and initiatives that we have planned:

  • Back-to-School Nights: We invite all parents and guardians to join us for our Back-to-School Nights on July 25 (new KDG families), August 7 (1st-3rd) and August 8 (4th-6th). This is an excellent opportunity to meet your child's teacher, learn about the curriculum, and get involved in our school community.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: We are always in need of dedicated volunteers to support our various programs and activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to our Robey PTO (robeypto@gmail.com) or the school office for more information. Our HOSTS program, a volunteer-based reading program for 3rd and 4th grade students, is another great way for community members to support Robey and other Wayne Township schools.
  • Community Partners: Throughout the year, numerous groups in the Clermont area find ways to support our school, and we are incredibly grateful. Many churches provide school supplies for students, food bank options for families, and holiday support as needed. The Friends of Robey Park keep our nearby Robey Park trails clean and clear for our students to use, and the Clermont Lions Club provides vision screening for students and eyeglasses for students in need. These are just a few of the incredible ways that the students and staff at Robey benefit from the generosity of our neighbors.

Whether you have lived in the Clermont area for many years or are new to the Westside, thank you for your continued support and commitment to Robey Elementary School. We are looking forward to an exciting and enriching school year ahead.
