The Indiana Department of Revenue compiles a report of net tax collections on a monthly basis. This report is a summary of taxes collected minus refunds issued for the month within the Department of Revenue.
Annual Financial Reports
At the end of each October, the Treasurer of State submits the State’s Annual Financial Report to the Governor for the previous fiscal year. The report is a summary of the business transactions for the State’s general fund and all other funds managed by the Treasurer of State’s office for the fiscal year. Reports dating back to FY1999 are available online.
Distribution of Build Indiana Fund and Lottery and Gaming Revenues
This report presents total state distributions of lottery and gaming revenues. It also presents the distribution of Build Indiana Fund revenues by county for the fiscal year as well as cumulative state distributions since the General Assembly first enacted the law governing the use and distribution of lottery revenues in 1989.
Delinquent Taxpayer Database
Indiana law requires the Department of Revenue to list online all retail merchants whose registered retail merchant certificates (RRMCs) have expired due to nonpayment of delinquent sales tax.
How are your taxes distributed?
In January 2010, the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute, in collaboration with the Ball State University Center for Business and Economic Research, released the report “Intrastate Distribution of State Government Revenues and Expenditures in Indiana.” The report examines state tax collection by county versus state expenditure distribution by county.
