School Corporations

Starting July 1st, 2010 School Corporations will be able to have access to BMV Records (Driver, Vehicle Title, and Vehicle Registration) online. In order to gain access to the online BMV Records Search Application, School Corporations are required to complete and send in the new ‘IN.gov Account Agreement for School Corporations’ (See Process below).

The BMV records returned WILL NOT DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION (i.e. Name, Address, Physical Description, etc...) Note: Personal information provided on the search criteria will be returned with the BMV record.

School Corporations will NOT be charged a fee for BMV Driver Records. School Corporations will be charged the standard fee for Title & Lien and Registration Records.

The following defines the process and the permissions to the BMV Record Search Application that School Corporations will receive.

Process

1. Download the ‘IN.gov Account Agreement for School Corporations’ form. Click here
2. Complete and fax in the ‘IN.gov Account Agreement for School Corporations’ (See Page 2: Instructions)
   Note: School Corporations, that already have an IN.gov account, are still required to fill out and send in the new ‘IN.gov Account Agreement for School Corporation’, but do not have to send in another annual account fee. Only new IN.gov Accounts need to send in the annual account fee.
3. Once the ‘IN.gov Account Agreement for School Corporations’ form is received, the information provided (Name, Address, City) will be compared to the information on record with the Department of Education.
4. Access to the BMV Record Search Application usually takes between 1-2 business days.

1. First Name AND Last Name AND Date of Birth AND Driver's License Number
2. First Name AND Last Name AND Date of Birth AND Social Security Number

2. Vehicle Identification Number AND Social Security Number
