The following defines the qualification and the enhanced access rights for the BMV Record search applications that Sheriff and Police Departments will receive.
Qualification Requirements
All of the following qualifying requirements must be met:
Sheriff
- The Sheriff’s department and personnel must be valid and approved by the Sheriff’s Association of Indiana
(Note: once the completed enhanced access agreement is submitted to the IN.gov Program a member of the team will reach out to the Sheriff’s Association of Indiana to verify the Sheriff’s department and personnel. No action is needed by the submitter.)
Police
- Police Chief must fill out and sign the BMV Enhanced Access Agreement.
- Police Chief must be listed on the city's police department website.
