Case Review Panel

The Case Review Panel (Panel) is a nine-member panel established by the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) and administered by the Secretary of Education. The Panel reviews final decisions of the IHSAA regarding the application or interpretation of an IHSAA rule to a particular student.

A student may only seek Panel review of an IHSAA decision when the decision is final; either when the student has no other available method of IHSAA, or if the IHSAA Review Committee has provided a written decision to the student. The Case Review Panel gets its authority through Indiana Code Chapter 20 Article 26.

If a student seeks Panel review of a final decision, the Panel will collect the record and review the decision during a Panel meeting. The Panel may decide to uphold, modify, or nullify the IHSAA decision based on the facts in the record and the application of the rule pursuant to the process followed by the Panel.
