- CACFP sponsor applications for Centers/Ministries, Adult Daycares, and Homeless/Emergency Shelters will not be accepted until Tuesday, October 1.
- Centers or family childcare homes may apply to participate under an existing sponsoring organization. Find a list of sponsors to contact here.
- Applicants for the At-Risk Afterschool Meals Program should contact cacfp@doe.in.gov.
CACFP Application Process
Consider participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program!
CACFP is a federal program that provides reimbursement for nutritious meals and snacks served
to participants. In Indiana, CACFP is administered by the Indiana Department of Education.
Why CACFP?
- Provides funding to supplement the cost of healthy meals and snacks.
- Teaches children at an early age a healthier way of eating that will last a lifetime.

Application Process to Apply as your Own Sponsor Through IDOE
Step 1 Sign up for the CACFP information session to learn more about the program and the application process.
Step 2 Submit an eligibility questionnaire
Step 3 Complete initial documents
Step 4 Technical assistance visit with a field specialist
Step 5 Submit online application through CNPweb
Step 6 Pre-approval visit with a field specialist
Step 7 Begin program implementation, if approved
