One defining characteristic of Governor Daniels’ management approach is to define successful outcomes for each executive branch agency, and then measure progress (or the lack thereof) against these outcomes. The adage “what gets measured gets done” has been put into practice during the governor’s administration. Initially, this was done through a series of six-month performance reports (archived below). The performance measurement process is now overseen by the Office of Management & Budget and is available for public review at http://results.in.gov/.
