In order to receive an Indiana Bred Award, the breeder or stallion owner must have on file with the State of Indiana the following forms:

Breeder Awards will be paid to the owner of the horse's dam at the time of the dam's registration, this should be reflected on the Quarter Horse Mare Registration.
Breeder Awards will be paid as follows (except when entered for a claiming price of less than $5,000)
1st Place Breeder = 17.5% of total purse *50% = 8.75% (not to exceed $5,000)
2nd Place Breeder = 17.5% of total purse *30% = 5.25% (not to exceed $3,000)
3rd Place Breeder = 17.5% of total purse *20% = 3.5% (not to exceed $2,000)
Owner Awards will be paid to the individual listed as the owner on the Equibase result sheet.
Stallion Owner Awards will be paid to the individual listed as the Stallion Owner on the Quarter Horse Stallion Application.
Owner and Stallion Owner Awards will be paid as follows (except when entered for a claiming price of less than $5,000):
1st Place Owner / Stallion Owner = 12.5% of total purse *50% = 6.25% (not to exceed $5,000)
2nd Place Owner / Stallion Owner = 12.5% of total purse *30% = 3.75% (not to exceed $3,000)
3rd Place Owner / Stallion Owner = 12.5% of total purse *20% = 2.5% (not to exceed $2,000)
In the event of multiple award recipients, the award will be paid to the individual listed as the "designated recipient" on the registration form or to the individual listed first on the Equibase result sheet; It is the sole responsibility of this individual to distribute monies to the remaining recipients.
If the breeder award is to be paid to a stable/business, then the stable/business must have been the owner of the horse's dam at the time of the dam's registration, this should be reflected by the AQHA papers.
If the owner award or stallion owner award it to be paid to a stable/business, then the stable/business must be the registered "Owner" or "Stallion Owner" according to Equibase or AQHA, respectively.
Awards begin processing as soon as the samples collected on a race date have been cleared by an independent, out-of-state testing facility. It may take up to 60 days between the date of the race and the deposit of the award in your bank account.
