Part-Time Contractual Position
Up to 24 hours a week for a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Planner at the Harrison County Health Department. Bachelor's Degree in public health, emergency management, environmental science, or a related discipline preferred, but a minimum of three years of preparedness knowledge and/or experience in lieu of college education accepted.
Knowledge of public health practices, environmental health, hazardous materials, disease, outbreaks, and preparedness activities is necessary. Experience with managing volunteers, budgeting, planning, public speaking, and serving the public required. Computer skills a must with knowledge of Microsoft Office and other programs. Valid driver's license required. Some travel in county and to regional meetings.
