Environmental health is defined as "the discipline that focuses on the health interrelationships between people and their environment, promotes human health and well-being, and fosters a safe and healthful environment."
The Environmental Health Program is responsible for the following enforcement and service areas listed below.
- Residential onsite sewage systems
- Water well permits
- Vector control-mosquito control briquettes
- Complaints about unfit housing
- Environmental complaints
- Tattoo & Body piercing parlors
- Public Pools
Payment options are cash, money orders, checks, and credit cards for septic and wells. Note: Septic and well permits are non-refundable and are good for one (1) year and there is a credit card fee.
