Exemplary Districts for Educator Evaluation Systems
INTASS, in collaboration with the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) and the Indiana State Board of Education (SBOE) has developed a process for awarding districts an exemplary status for the development and implementation of their educator evaluations. Recommendations to INTASS to participate in this process come from the IDOE staff upon completion of their initial compliance monitoring review.
Using the INTASS Plan Rubric, the INTASS team will facilitate a leadership team (in the recommended district) to analyze their district plan against best practices components. This results in a “gap analysis” that supports a district to refine or revise their district plan. Once this is complete, the INTASS team, using the INTASS Evidence of Implementation tool, facilitates the leadership team to assess their implementation, providing evidence to support their self-ratings. Districts who receive an 80% or higher implementation would be awarded an exemplary designation and recognized by the State Board of Education and the Indiana Department of Education with a resolution.
The following districts have been recognized for Exemplary Status for Educator Evaluations Systems:
- Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation
- Fairfield Community School Corporation
- Zionsville Community Schools
- Northwestern School Corporation
- MSD Washington Township
- Speedway School Corporation
- Tipton Community School Corporation
- Beech Grove City Schools
