Subject Arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine
The Morgan County Drug Task Force has successfully concluded a two-month investigation leading to the apprehension of a Martinsville resident on multiple drug-related charges, including three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine.
On May 25th, Sheriff's Deputies and Martinsville Police Officers executed the arrest of Brandon C. Chirpas, a 52-year-old resident of Martinsville, without incident. The apprehension took place at a residence located in the 1900 block of Lynn Dr., Martinsville.
Chirpas was taken into custody based on an active warrant for charges that include three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine, Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance-Controlled Substance.
Following his arrest, Chirpas has been incarcerated in the Morgan County Jail, where he awaits legal proceedings. Bail has been set at $60,000 property or surety, and $4,000 cash.
