IC 36-5-7 - The marshal is the chief police officer of the town and has the powers of other law enforcement officers in executing the orders of the legislative body and enforcing laws.

Currently, any purchases made by the Town Marshal - Stilesville Police Department, shall be approved by the Stilesville Town Board during a scheduled board meeting.

• First and foremost, the Stilesville Police Department serves the Town of Stilesville within the town limits. However, Indiana Law allows for law enforcement officers to enforce laws of the State of Indiana anywhere in the state. Stilesville Police Department does not patrol any other jurisdictions but could respond, assist, or act on any incidents near Stilesville.
