DNR’s Floodplain Management Section will host a permitting workshop in April. This workshop will provide detailed instruction on permitting requirements and necessary documentation for various floodplain development activities.
Floodplain administrators and any other local officials who work on floodplain development permits are encouraged to attend. The workshop will offer continuing education credits (CECs) for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM).
This two-hour workshop will be offered four times:
All sessions will cover the same material and be held virtually on Microsoft Teams. Please register here for the session you wish to attend, and the meeting link will be sent to you as the workshop date approaches.
In partnership with FEMA, the DNR Division of Water is implementing and updating training videos. These videos are intended for use by floodplain administrators, other local officials, or property owners. The videos and web pages broaden knowledge of floodplain management and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirements. Videos will be maintained and updated on this site for those who did not have an opportunity to attend the workshops in person or virtually or those who wish to have a refresher on a particular topic. If you do not find a topic of interest below, contact us at DNRFPM@dnr.IN.gov for more information.
