Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) engaged with committees of special and general educators and solicited public comment feedback to develop the 2024 Indiana Content Connectors for English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Social Studies, and Integrated STEM. The new content connectors are Indiana’s alternate standards aligned with the 2023 Indiana Academic Standards, and are designed to measure the knowledge and skills of students with significant cognitive disabilities. Alternate standards are necessary to ensure all students have access to grade-level aligned content and to achieve educational accountability for all students.
