INDIANAPOLIS - In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Brown versus Board of Education, the landmark Supreme Court decision that mandated equal access to quality public education for all children, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission along with the Great Lakes Equity Center, the U.S. Department of Justice, Community Relations Service and the Indiana University School of Education at Indianapolis is hosting a conference titled "Ensuring Civil Rights in Education through Cross Agency Partnerships" September 15-16, 2014 in Indianapolis.
The two-day conference is designed for educators, community members, service providers, education consultants and parents with a topical transformative learning experience. These dynamic professional learning opportunities are led by scholars and leaders in the field of equity, culturally responsive education, and systems change.
