Executive Session Minutes & Public Notices

Throughout the year, the IURC conducts a variety of meetings, from field hearings to forums, that are open to the public and subject to the Open Door Law. Some meetings, such as the Commission’s weekly conference, are recurring while others are topical or tied to a particular case and are more intermittent. This webpage includes information on the types of public meetings conducted by the Commission, as well as ways to get involved.

Weekly Conference

Weekly conference is a recurring meeting, generally held on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m., in which matters are brought before the full Commission for vote or consideration. Agendas are posted 48 hours in advance and can be found by clicking the link below.

Underground Plant Protection Advisory Committee (UPPAC)

UPPAC was established by law to act in an advisory capacity to the Commission concerning the implementation and enforcement of the damage to underground facilities law. The committee meets monthly at the Indiana 811 office.

Executive Sessions

Executive sessions, authorized by state law, are held by the Commission for the purpose of deliberating upon and discussing the prospective final order. Minutes for Commission executive sessions, as described in Indiana Code section 5-14-1.5-6.1(b) and Indiana Code section 8-1-1-5(f), are listed below.

While these meetings are closed to the public, notice must be given in accordance with the Open Door Law.
