Free Car Seat Safety and Installation checks are now available in our Michigan City office location at 302 W. 8th Street on Tuesdays. Appointments are recommended but not necessary. A National Certified Passenger Safety Technician will check your car seat's child restraint is correctly installed, the right fit for your child, and is in the best position in your car. If your car seat is expired (car seats expire after seven years or unless manufacturer label states differently), is damaged or has broken or missing parts we will replace your seat. Please bring your child in their child restraint (or a borrowed seat) with the child restraint and your car's manual. We will also cater to women who are obviously pregnant and tech them how to properly fit their new baby into a seat, in any car and provide a seat for the new baby if needed.

Every Indiana resident is eligible for this program. Please visit preventinjury.org for more information.
