The Union County Health Department recommends using a professional sharps container for storage of used needles/syringes before their disposal. These containers are free of charge to Union County Residents that utilize our container services. You may pick up a container from the Union County Office. Once the container is full, return it to the health department where appropriate disposal will be accomplished at no charge to you. Obtain another free container for your use.

The state is partnering with Overdose Lifeline, Inc. to expand access to the opioid reversal agent naloxone. Each unit contains doses of naloxone, instructions for use, and treatment referral cards.
