Duke Energy is seeking IURC approval to build a new natural gas-fired power plant that would replace the coal-fired Cayuga Generating Station in Vermillion County, including permission to recover costs through future rates.
The utility’s testimony estimates construction costs at about $2.97 billion, not including financing, property taxes, and certain project reserves.
