Preserving Historic Places: Indiana’s Statewide Preservation Conference
Preserving Historic Places, Indiana’s Statewide Preservation Conference, offers inspiring lectures, educational sessions, tours, and networking opportunities. Indiana Landmarks, Indiana Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology, and Indiana University join in supporting the annual conference.
Session topics are chosen based on the host community, and speakers include both nationally known and local experts. The conference features plenary and concurrent sessions, keynote speakers, and tours of the host community’s preservation highlights.
DHPA offers unpaid internships to undergraduate and graduate students to gain skills for employment in public history, historic preservation, and archaeology. The program also maintains a strong bond between DHPA staff and regional collegiate faculty and students.
